Driving Licence continued ...

My earlier blog of getting driving licence received lot of different feedback from my friends. Most of them enjoied reading but some of them said I am making fun of myself. But I just expressed what happened. There was no glorification no extra things added.. I tried to put it as it happned.. Now Lets get back to next level :)

One month over and we went to RTO office in the dream of getting the driving licence. This time we took the bike of my friend Vikram- a small cute bike. I dont remember the name :( .. So we filled in the application form and waited for RTO. Hmm at last he arrived with few applications in hand.. We were standing as if we are getting some heavy prize from this guy. He is the one who will decide if we will ride bike or not.. Great role to play. He called my name first and asked me to take a round and come.. Cool.. I sat on bike kick started went for 100 mtrs and the bike suddenly started making weird sounds.. I tried combinations with the gear applied removed.. No use... Bike stopped. Disaster :( I dont know how I had made my face. I came back and gave the bike to my next friend who was in Queue.

Then my friend was asked to take a round. He did it.. Fantastic.. We said great you are pass. Other guy took the bike. Even he did it but with little weird sounds.. But bike didnt stop. We thought ok RTO will be generous enough to Pass him unlike my college staff :) .

Now we are waiting for the result. He came to us.. All failed. Why wat happned wat mistake we made were the expressions on my friends face.. But they didnt follow traffic rules. He adviced us to follow traffic rules and come next time.. While going back he said to the owner of the bike ( my friend Vikram).. Dont give your bike to Vinay, he will spoil it :( .. Man what a dialogue.. Worth remembering whole life :) My friend followed each word of him and hence didnt give bike to me again. I lost the Battle. Didnt get driving licence at last. When I got my degree certificate I said " Good I cleared all my BE papers not even single failure in my BE except RTO exam" ..

Now I have been riding bike for 5 years.. Thank god for the agent who helped me get by licence but with heavy fees..

Hope you enjoied it..

Importance of 1/2 mark :)

I was in eighth standard of Navodaya school. Our kannada teacher had good impression on me. She used to ask me dictate the notes to the class and also she been to my native once. Hence I had good rapport with our teacher.

We had 25 marks assignments for each of the subjects and even kannada had 25 marks assignment. They used to give this to home and we used to submit once complete. My close friends in navodaya were Basavraj, Sudheer and Rajendra. Basavaraj completed the assignment by finding answers from text books and by putting efforts. Also his hand writing was soo good.. Once he completed the assignment, I took his book and copied as it is and submitted. I dont know if my name was familiar to teacher or by luck, I got 24.5 marks and Basavaraj got 24 marks. As soon the note books came to our hands, Basu started crying ;). He started telling "he has copied my notes and his handwriting is also not good as me then how can he get more markes than me ;) " .. I went to teacher, told her to cut my marks but she was not ready. Then i was in trouble :(. This stupid guy was crying and not at all stopping for 1/2 marks. He got support from one more classmate sanjay. He also told teacher the same things. Then teacher told today I got to know importance of 1/2 marks. She corrected my marks to 24. I could see my friends eyes tearless. I was happy too.. He would not have behaved the same way now but for that age that mite be appropriate..

Any way this incident entered my childhood memories hence noting it here :)

Childhood days..

I am born and bought up in a small village Ghataprabha of Belgaum District Karnataka. My parents were teachers there. My childhood days were filled with lot of appreciations for my talent( like speech giving, Singing, Dramas), lot of love from students of my parents and lot of care from our teachers as they were collegues of my parents. Our weekends used to be kept for the field visits of my friends. We used to be in a group plan every weekend for a field trip. The fields were side by small river canals or wells etc. We used to spend whole day roaming around playing in fields, eating the baby corns, sugarcanes and fruits. My friends used to be so happy showing their field to me and make sure I enjoi the most..

Now every weekend we sit at home or go for films, rides or chat with friends. So much difference from then and now.. Have learnt to accept the way life is going on.

Just sitting infront of computer and remembering golden days of childhood gives me so much happiness. Some times feel life has changed drastically for good but some where at the corner of the heart still like old days..
